Grand Bahama Island is unusual in that the infrastructure (roads, water,
electricity, garbage, sewer, etc.) is owned and operated by a private
company. As a result, you will find wide, beautifully landscaped
roadways that are well-maintained and litter-free. The water is safe to
drink, with an excellent taste. Even the beaches are regularly cleaned.
For a "Caribbean" island destination, Grand Bahama truly stands alone.
